Yoko Ono “VERTICAL MEMORY”

This works of "Vertical Memory" was one of the series of "Conceptual Photography" by Yoko Ono, was showed at Footografisk Center in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1997, the traveling some places in Europe.
It is first show in Tokyo Japan.

This series Ono enters a dialogue with photography as a media. The Vertical Memory consists of 21 identical portraits with 21 different texts in japanese, the portrait has been computer manipulated from three portraits, her father, husband and son. The text in "Vertical Memory" are glimpses of experience, memories, fictitious or real, in an extremely short prose.

We published the multiple "VERTICAL MEMORY 1997-2001" was published on the occasion of the exhibition.
